Sunny Poipu Beach

|
| Surfing at Poipu Beach |
Located on the southern shore of Kauai is Poipu Beach. This part of the island has dramatically lower rainfall than the north
shore. This makes Poipu the most desirable destination on the island. You can swim, float, surf, snorkel, kayak, or just soak
up the sun on the beach.
Kauai has more beaches per mile of shore line than any of the other Hawaiian Islands. On the south shore are Mahaulepu
Beach, known for it's pristine beauty, Shipwreck Beach, Brenneke Beach, Poipu Beach State Park, Hale-o-i'a Beach or Kiahuna
Beach, Baby Beach, and the smaller beaches along Lawai Rd. In the heart of approximately twenty Poipu Beach hotel and resort
properties, on Hale-o-i'a Beach, is Kauai's premier condominium resort, Kiahuna Plantation. It is the only condo resort in
Poipu that is right on the beach.
Free outdoor hula shows at the Poipu Shopping Village are a must see. Local hula students show off their skills and get
some haoles in on the action too.
